A delicate handcrafted ring which has been created by imprinting a small section of Shepherds Purse seed pods onto Precious Metal Clay. The final impression on the circle of silver has then been made into a ring.

Capsella bursa-pastoris, also known as Shepherd's Purse is a common wildflower. The seedpods of this common wildflower resemble little drawstring pouches worn by medieval peasants, spilling out tiny copper-coloured seeds when broken apart. I also think the seedpods look like tiny heart shapes which are adorable.
