SMALL BATCH, SLOW FASHION

Learn a little about Silver & Fern and what goes on behind the scenes.

BEHIND THE BRAND

Silver & Fern is a one-woman business run by me, Poppy.

I am based in the Fens in Cambridgeshire and specialise in handcrafted sterling silver, fine silver and up-cycled jewellery.

Silver & Fern came about in July 2021 but was originally under a different business name. I wanted to try my hand at silversmithing after seeing the beautiful work that others create and I just decided to take the plunge.

I am a member of the Jewellers Academy and also The Guild of Jewellery Designers.

I am also a member of the Rejewel Collective which is a collection of jewellery designers from around the world, whose prime directive is waste reduction, specifically fast fashion accessories. We reduce waste, we recycle and we create new pieces from your broken and damaged pieces of jewellery. You can read more at: https://rejewelcollective.com/index or view my collective page by clicking the logo below.

You can donate your old or broken jewellery to me to upcycle into something new - simply get in contact today.

I aim to be as sustainable as possible and I am always improving aspects of the business. I use recycled silver, for all of my sterling silver creations (more about this in the FAQ's) and I also use reclaimed beads and gemstones for all of my upcycled creations. All of my packaging used is either reused, recyclable (and recycled!) or biodegradable.

I make a monthly donation to Ecologi to offset my carbon emissions and plant trees. I also plant a tree for each order I receive.
